About Being Green
What does it mea to be “Green”? It means a lot of things top a lot of people but I think it simply means being smart. I visit with clients everyday who know that they should be more “Green” with their new home but who are afraid that the cost will be too great to tolerate. They are also afraid that they will not get any benefit financially because of the initial cost of building green. I would propose that the real cost of not building green is unfathomable.
We have all watched the television programs that are heralding the demise of our planet if we do not stem the cycle of waste and pollution. We should be listening. Our planet is a finite place. Once we have consumed and polluted all of our available resources there will not be a galactic Super Mega-Mart that we can visit to resupply us with all of our depleted resources. However, if we do the simple things each day that help save our resources and cut back on pollution we can make a difference.
This section of our website is dedicated to learning how to do the simple things that make a difference. We will explore the possibilities of “green building” on a normal budget. If we can help you design a home that is energy efficient, sustainable, livable, and beautiful then we both have made a step towards saving our planet and your pocketbook.
The studs in the walls, the insulation, the exterior finish and everything inside your home can have green roots.
