“I love my home!” That’s what we at J. Bryant Boyd, Architect work hard to hear. To achieve this, we address each client’s exclusive needs by establishing a personal relationship, providing design expertise, and inspiration.
We also understand and deeply believe that we must design and build homes that decrease the negative impact on our environment. When we design a home, we address issues such as using renewable resources, water and energy conservation, and sustainability. It is our responsibility to help homeowners make intelligent and informed design choices to meet their needs as well as being responsible to our planet.
You will find us just two blocks off the courthouse square in the old downtown historic district of Georgetown, Texas. We converted a wonderful 1921 bungalow called the Foster House into our office. Being a part of the historic district enhances our contributions to the custom home design market. Not to mention, it’s just a cool old building!
Not only do we design beautiful new custom homes, but we also specialize in historic renovation design. Southern Living magazine honored us with their 2006 Southern Living Home award for an historic home renovation and remodel. Please look for that featured home in the 2006 October issue of Southern Living.
I am a member of the American Institute of Architects, the Texas Society of Architects, the Heritage Society of Georgetown, the Green Builder Program of Austin, and the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce. I actively participate in the community and gladly donate many hours and dollars toward the enhancement of our community. My wife, Melissa, works as a garden designer and consultant and our daughter rides horses and loves to read. We are proud to call Georgetown our home and strive to enhance its appeal, beauty and presence to the world.
Thank you for visiting our site. I look forward to being your architect and hope to hear, “I love my home!” Then I know I’ve done my job.
